Training Pathways for Buyer's Agents

Finding your own path

REBAA recognises that there are gaps in the training provided by national REIs, in particular with regards to buyer’s agent-specific training in the licensing courses available.

 

There are also a number of non-accredited courses on offer that over-promise and under-deliver, making it difficult for new buyer’s agents to gain the experience and skills needed for success.

 

Queenslanders can complete the Buyer’s Agent Essentials Program, run by the Real Estate Institute of Queensland.

 

A brief summary of each of this program is provided below.

Buyer’s Agent Essentials Program – Queensland

This 2-day, face-to-face course is run by the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ).

  • Ideal for both new and existing buyer’s agents the course covers the following key topics:
  • Your Buyer’s Agent career
  • Legal framework and compliance
  • Business development and marketing
  • Client relationship management
  • Partnership relationship management
  • Researching properties and preliminary due diligence techniques
  • Assessing property and pricing strategies
  • Negotiation strategies and auction tactics
